Rajveer and Naina's journey was never meant to be easy โ but it was always meant to be theirs.
After the devastating jeep blast, Rajveer was left critically injured and slipped into a coma that lasted three long, painful years. While the world moved on, his Super Six refused to give up. They stood by his side and worked tirelessly to uncover the truth. With their help, both Rajveer and Naveen's names were finally cleared of the false accusations that had once shattered their lives.
When Rajveer finally woke from his coma, the battle wasn't over. He faced another year of intensive physiotherapy, slowly relearning how to walk, move, and live life on his own terms again. But Rajveer was a soldier, not just in uniform but in spirit. He didn't just recover โ he rose. And when justice prevailed, he was rightfully reinstated, his honor restored, and even given a promotion.
In the midst of rebuilding their lives, Rajveer and Naina finally opened their hearts to each other, confessing the love that had remained unspoken for far too long. It seemed like the worst was behind them.
But fate wasn't done testing them yet.ย
When Naina's parents learned the truth behind Naveen's tragic death, their grief turned to anger. They were determined to keep Naina from marrying Rajveer, unable to see beyond the painful past.
Fortunately, with the unwavering support of the Super Six, Captain Dr. Shalini, and Captain Gunny, Naina stood strong. Together, they helped her convince her parents that Rajveer was innocent; a victim of the situation, not a villain.
And at last, after years of struggle and doubt, Rajveer and Naina's love triumphed. They were finally able to marry, beginning their new life together.
Their married life was filled with love, affection, and unwavering loyalty. Rajveer and Naina had built a beautiful life together, grounded in mutual respect and deep emotional intimacy. They supported each other through every high and low, cherishing the quiet, ordinary moments just as much as the grand ones.
Everything felt smooth and fulfillingโuntil five years went by. Naina hadn't conceived.
At first, neither of them worried. They were content in their togetherness, and children weren't a pressure point. But as time passed and Naina's parents started asking questions, the silence became harder to ignore. Naina began to feel a gnawing sense of worry. Every passing year chipped away at the quiet confidence she once had.
They sought medical advice, visiting one specialist after another. They went through countless testsโblood work, ultrasounds, even lifestyle consultations. The results were always the same: "There's nothing wrong with either of you."
But if nothing was wrong, why wasn't it happening?
Month after month, Naina's hopes would rise with every missed period and crash down with every negative test. She began blaming herself in silent, sleepless nights, despite Rajveer's constant reassurance.ย
He held her through tears, reminding her gently, "You are enough for me, Naina. Child or no child, we are complete."
Yet, that didn't stop the ache from growing. Baby clothes in shop windows, the sound of children laughing, or a Pooja's baby showerโeverything started to sting. She smiled through them all, hiding the heaviness inside.
Rajveer, too, was affected. Though he tried to remain strong for Naina, he quietly battled his own questions and helplessness. He hated seeing her break a little more each time. He wished he could carry this pain for both of them.
He knew that Naina didn't want a baby just for herselfโshe longed to give him a family. She wanted to see him cradle a child, hear someone call him "Papa," and watch a little life grow that was part of them both.
Rajveer had told her countless times, in words laced with love and quiet firmness, "You are the only family I need, Naina." He meant every word. To him, her laughter was a home, her presence a sanctuary.
But Naina had always been a stubborn one.
She smiled when he said those things, but he could see the ache hiding in her eyes. He knew that behind her strong front lived a woman who desperately wanted to make his world fuller, even when he believed it already was. The pressure she placed on herself wasn't born from societal expectationsโit was born from love.
And that was the cruelest part of it all: the pain didn't stem from what they lacked, but from how deeply they loved.
Then, it happenedโa quiet miracle.
In the sixth year of their marriage, one seemingly ordinary month slipped by... and Naina missed her period. But with her mind buried in an ongoing mission, she brushed off the fatigue, the occasional nausea, and the mood swings as stress. She was used to pushing her needs aside for duty. She didn't notice.
It was the second month that changed everything.
It wasn't Naina who noticed.
Rajveer did.
He had just returned from an overseas operation. As always, he resumed their routine life, grounding himself in the small thingsโlike grocery shopping. He liked buying her favorite snacks, making sure the tea shelf was never empty, and yes, picking up her sanitary pads each month without a second thought.
This time, though, uncertainty tugged at him.
Since he hadn't been around the previous month, he wasn't sure if Naina still had enough. He walked to the cupboard to checkโand paused. He counted once. Then again.
Unopened.
All of them.
By his calculation, only one or two pads should've remained. But the entire stash was untouched.
A frown knit his brows. He pulled out his phone, tapped open the calendar, and scrolled. Yes. She should've had two cycles by now.
So why were there so many left?
"Naina, did you buy new pads already?" he called out.
"Huh? What pads?" she mumbled, eyes still on her laptop.
"Sanitary pads."
Naina looked up, blinking. "Don't you usually buy them?"
The question hung in the air for a moment, casual yet suddenly... heavy.
Rajveer's heart skipped.
A flicker of something wild, impossible, hopeful stirred in his chest.
He stepped into the bedroom, slower this time. His voice had dropped to a low, cautious murmur. "Naina... when was your last period?"
Naina opened her mouth to answer instinctivelyโthen stopped.
Her eyes widened.
She couldn't remember.
They stared at each other, time momentarily suspended between them. Their breaths shallow. Their hearts racing.
A thousand possibilities swirled silently in the air, unspoken yet loud.
Could it really be?
"I'll go buy some home tests," Rajveer said, his voice unusually steady for the storm of hope and nerves brewing inside him.
He grabbed his wallet and car keys and left in a rush, his heart pounding with every step. The drive to the pharmacy felt like the longest ride of his life. When he returned barely fifteen minutes later, he looked like he had sprinted through a battlefieldโhair tousled, breath uneven, hands trembling as he handed her the bag.
"Here," he whispered, kneeling in front of her. "Take these. But... Naina, if they come back negative, don't lose hope, okay? It's alright."
Naina was still processing the sudden turn of events. Her hands were shaking as she opened the box. She followed the instructions like her life depended on it, peeing on all five sticks, because one didn't feel like enough. Rajveer sat outside the bathroom, legs bouncing nervously, hearing every movement from inside.
Fifteen minutes later, they sat side by side on the bed, staring down at the five sticks arranged in a neat row before them.
Two pink lines.
Two pink lines.
Two pink lines.
Two pink lines.
Two. Pink. Lines.
They didn't speak at first. Just stared.
"Are they...?" Rajveer asked in a hushed voice, almost afraid to hope.
Naina nodded slowly, tears brimming in her eyes. "They're all positive..."
And then, the dam broke. Naina burst into tears and threw her arms around him, sobbing against his chest. Rajveer held her tightly, his own tears falling freely now, brushing her hair back, pressing kisses on her forehead, whispering over and over again, "It's happening... it's really happening..."
They laughed. Cried. Laughed again. The disbelief and joy mixed together into something too overwhelming for words.

Later that afternoon, they visited the OB-GYN, their fingers intertwined the entire way. Naina sat on the examination table, heart thundering, while Rajveer stood beside her, his hand never letting go of hers.
The doctor reviewed the test reports and smiled kindly at the couple. "Congratulations," she said. "You're about nine weeks pregnant."
Rajveer closed his eyes as if in prayer, then kissed Naina's hand.
Naina let out a breathless laugh. "We're going to have a baby?"
"You're going to have a baby," the doctor confirmed.
And in that moment, everythingโthe years of waiting, the tears, the prayersโwas worth it.

That night.
Rajveer and Naina had just returned from a celebratory dinner to mark their pregnancy. After slipping out of their fancy clothes, they both climbed into bed, with Naina resting her head on Rajveer's chest, the warmth between them a quiet comfort.
ย "I still can't believe this is really happening," Naina whispered, her voice laced with wonder.
Rajveer smiled, placing a protective hand over her still-flat belly like it was already guarding the royal heir. "Didn't I tell you? All we had to do was be patient. See, God finally blessed us with our little miracle." He pressed a soft kiss to her head, glowing with happiness and... mild smugness.
Naina chuckled and slid her hand over his, both resting on her stomach. They lay there in content silence for a few minutes, basking in the surreal joy of it all.
Then she asked, "So... when should we tell the family? And friends? Should we plan a surprise announcement or justโ"
Rajveer's smile vanished in an instant. His eyes grew wide as a wild thought hit him like a lightning bolt. He pushed Naina off his chest and sat upright, pulling her up with him.
"No. No. No. We will not do that," he declared dramatically.
Startled, Naina blinked. "What won't we do?"
"We won't tell anyone that you're pregnant," Rajveer stated firmly, as if announcing a state secret.
Naina rolled her eyes so hard it was a miracle they didn't get stuck. "Rajveer, I never took you for someone who believes in superstitions. But fine, if it makes you comfortable, we'll keep it quiet for now. I'm already nine weeks along, so let's wait another three weeks before telling anyone."
"No!" Rajveer nearly jumped out of bed. "We cannot tell anyone."
Naina, now thoroughly confused, asked, "Why not?"
He leaned in close and whispered like he was sharing a national security secret: "Because... then everyone will know that we had... sex."
He said the last word as if it were something scandalous, something that should never be spoken aloud. He was also blushing like a newly wedded bride on her suhagraat.
Naina stared at him.
And stared.
And stared.
And stared.
And stared some more.
Her brain flatlined for a full ten seconds.
Then she shut her eyes, took a deep breath, and muttered under it, "Don't smack him. He's the father of your child. Don't smack him. He's the father of your child..."
Rajveer, still whispering in panic, added, "Your father will know that I have gotten intimate with his only daughter."
Naina opened one eye and gave him the look. "Rajveer, we've been married for SIX years. What exactly did you think people thought we were doing?"
"Sleeping," he said earnestly. "Like... just sleeping. Side by side. Like innocent cucumbers."
Naina groaned and facepalmed so hard, the baby probably felt it.
"Rajveer, our baby must be wondering how it ended up with a father like you." she told him, rolling her eyes and flopped back on the bed.
He looked mildly offended. "Excuse me! I'm going to be a very good dad."
Naina tilted her head. "You just said the word sex like it was Voldemort."
"It is Voldemort," Rajveer whispered dramatically. "Especially when your father finds out."
Naina covered her face with her palms in disbelieve.
And somewhere, their unborn baby sighed dramaticallyโalready questioning its life choices.
